Intel is preparing a new version of the micro PC Compute Stick CPU processor Apollo Lake for release in 2017. This is evidenced by Intel's roadmap, leaked to the network.

Presumably Intel's Compute Stick on the platform of Apollo Lake would be cheaper and not as powerful as the version based on Core M, but markedly faster than any current variations on the Compute Stick Atom chips. As expected, Intel will release new chips in the second quarter of 2017.

Observed at least two models. One will get 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB eMMC drive and operating system Windows 10. Second — 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage, it will ship without a preinstalled OS. Both models are equipped with Wi-Fi (802.11 ac), Bluetooth 4.2, USB 3.0 ports and USB 2.0, headphone Jack, HDMI connector to connect to a monitor or TV.
