25-26 March in Izhevsk will be held the national forest forum

25-26 March begins the work of the national forest forum, the 1st step that will begin in the capital of the Udmurtia Republic Izhevsk. This new non-profit project organized by the State Duma with the support of the Federal forestry Agency and the Ministry of agriculture of Russia. Its purpose is to increase the efficiency of the use of forests as a national wealth of our country.

the national forest forum will be the first Russian mobile discussion platform where representatives of the professional community in the framework of the joint work will be able to engage in open dialogue with representatives of the Federal legislative and Executive authorities. To this end, in 2018, the Forum will be held in five Russian regions (Volga, Siberian, Ural, far Eastern and North Western) and will culminate in a large final event in Moscow, where will be marked the best regional forest management practices in Russia, as well as summarized and the plans of legislative activity aimed at the improvement of forest legislation.

According to the organizers of the project, it will enable professionals in different industries to Express his vision of the prospects and ways of development of forest management. For members of the legislature debate on the forum will help to outline a future plan initiatives and to identify the weak links in the chain of law enforcement practice of existing laws.

Today the forest industry of Russia is a dynamically developing direction of use of natural resources. "Our country is huge and diverse in its natural environment. Therefore, in the sphere of nature we have, given the specificity of each region, to create for citizens the conditions of multipurpose use of forests, respecting the principle of efficiency and rationality to the forest was for the benefit of citizens today and always," - said the Chairman of the organizing Committee of the National forest forum, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on natural resources, property and land relations Nikolay Nikolaev.

To participate in the Forum invited entrepreneurs engaged in logging and wood processing industry, representatives of hunting farms, public organizations and volunteers, the academic community, collectors and processors of wild plants. In the work of each regional stage will take part representatives of Federal, regional and municipal authorities.

the 1st the initial stage of the National forest forum in Izhevsk will take part the Deputy Minister of natural resources and ecology of the Russian Federation – head of Federal forestry Agency Ivan Valentine, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on natural resources, property and land relations Nikolay Nikolaev, Head of Udmurtia Alexander Brechalov.

"Among the main tasks of the Forum, we pay particular attention to the dissemination and effectiveness of state support of best practices in forest management in the regions of Russia. These projects will be presented at the forum, and at the final stage, which will be held in autumn in Moscow will be summed up and marked the most successful of them", - said Nikolai Nikolaev. According to him, the forum participants will discuss: issues of efficiency of state forest management; prospects for the development of multi-use forests, including the collection and processing of wild plants, hunting, harvesting of wood by citizens for their own needs; the challenge of implementing forestry supervision, including the conservation and protection of forests from fires; the development of public organizations and the involvement of volunteer teams to the conservation of forests.

According to the results of the National forest forum will be the signing of the cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Udmurtia and JSC "Saint-Petersburg international Mercantile Exchange" on the development of exchange trading of timber and electronic procedures for the implementation of the wood.
