Apple has filed a new class action lawsuit. The Kennett Sciacca (Sciacca Kenneth) filed a lawsuit in the district court of Northern California, claiming that all models of smart watches have displays with a defect are cracked, broken or separated from the body, without fault of the user, and with careful handling.
class action lawsuit filed on behalf of all current or past users of the Apple Watch in all models, sizes and variations, including the original smart watch, Series 1, Series 2 and Series 3, purchased in the USA between April 2015 and present.
the paper argues that Apple has sold millions of hours with marriage in the US and "either knew, or should have known" about these issues, as well as "actively concealed" information about the defect from the buyers. The complaint notes that the company's internal policy "to deny the existence of the defect, to claim that the problems were the result of damage caused to the user, and then refuse to serve them in the limited warranty on those grounds".
the amount of the claim is $ 5 million. Note that Apple previously acknowledged the problem with the original Apple Watch and Series 2, associated with the swollen battery and peeling back the covers and extended the warranty to three years.
