Oil exports via CPC terminal in April fell by 18.5% – to 4.1 million tons

The Volume of oil exports through the terminal of Caspian pipeline consortium (CPC) in April 2019 decreased in comparison with the figure for the same period last year by 18.5 per cent to 4.13 million tons. It is stated in the materials of KTK.

a Year earlier, the export of oil through the CPC terminal in April amounted to 5,069 million tons.

According to the results of January-April 2019 oil exports via the CPC reached 20,306 million tons, which is 1.5% more than in the same period last year (20,016 million tonnes).

As explained CTC, shipped in April 2019 volume 1,939 million tons of oil of the Tengiz field, 828,602 thousand tonnes of oil fields Karachaganak, 569,424 thousand tons of oil of the Kashagan field, 135,025 thousand tons of oil from other Kazakh producers. The Kazakh shippers shipped in April 3,472 million tons of oil, more 658,001 thousand tons of oil shipped came from Russia.

the CTC pipeline system connects Kazakhstan with the seaport in Novorossiysk, where oil is loaded onto tankers for further shipment to the world markets.

CPC Shareholders are the Russian Federation, owns 31% (represented by Transneft – 24% and "CPC company" – 7%), Kazakhstan – 20.75% of (represented by KazMunaiGaz – 19% and Kazakhstan Pipeline Ventures LLC – 1,75%), Chevron Caspian Pipeline Consortium Company – 15%, LUKARCO B. V. – 12,5%, Mobil Caspian Pipeline Company – 7,5%, Rosneft-Shell Caspian Ventures Limited – 7,5%, BG Overseas Holding Limited – 2%, Eni International N. A. N. V. – 2% and Oryx Caspian Pipeline LLC – 1.75 percent.
