The Launch of the first line of Turkish stream is expected from 1 January 2020, told reporters Russian energy Minister Alexander Novak.

"We expect that from 1 January 2020," said Novak, answering the question of when will be launched the first gas pipeline string.

the Minister noted that the launch date of the second leg of the project depends on implementation of the accompanying transmission infrastructure of European countries. Thus, according to Novak, the expansion project GTS Bulgaria to receive gas from the "Turkish stream," is on schedule.

"There is an agreement between "Gazprom" and the Ministry of energy of Bulgaria signed the road map, the project implementation is in accordance with the roadmap," commented Minister of energy of the Russian Federation the question of whether there is concern about the timing of construction of the host infrastructure in Bulgaria. Novak noted that the gas from the second line of the Turkish stream would go through Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary. "In Bulgaria directly," – said the Minister.

"Turkish stream" project gas export pipeline from Russia to Turkey across the Black sea and next to Turkey's border with neighboring countries. The project involves the construction of a gas pipeline composed of two lines with capacity of 15.75 billion cubic meters each. The first line is designed to supply Russian gas to Turkish consumers, the other for the gas supply countries in southern and South-Eastern Europe.

In may, the Chairman of the Board "Gazprom" Oleg Aksyutin reported that, according to the expectations of the "Turkish stream" will be ready to supply gas to the last week of December, while in November the project will have a total construction readiness, and will need to carry out commissioning. As for the host infrastructure for the second line of the "Turkish stream" in European countries, in June the head of "Gazprom" Alexey Miller noted that the GTS Bulgaria and Serbia it is planned to extend the deadline until the end of 2019.
