, "Gazprom" plans in 2020-2022 years to drill 15.8 thousand meters of wells on the Arctic shelf of the Russian Federation. This is stated in the materials submitted by the head of Department of PJSC "Gazprom" Vadim Petrenko at the International forum on development of oil and gas resources of Russian Arctic and continental shelf.
"Drilling wells offshore in 2020, and 5.4 million in 2021 and 5.2 thousand m in 2022 – 5.2 thousand meters", – stated in the materials. Thus, "Gazprom" over the years, will drill 15.8 thousand meters of wells on the shelf.
In 2018 this figure is made up 4.56 million meters by the end of 2019 – 5 thousand meters. The company also plans in 2019-2022 years to conduct seismic works on the shelf on an area of over 7 thousand square km and 400 to perform works on geological study of subsoil.
the XIV international forum on development of oil and gas resources of Russian Arctic and continental shelf (RAO/CIS Offshore 2019) takes place in St. Petersburg from 1 to 4 October. Within it, scientists, experts and the largest mining and geological company to discuss the problems and prospects of development of the shelf.
