the Airline Ethiopian Airlines winter will return to wide-body aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the Addis Ababa - Moscow. However, the increase in comfort has its price: to fill a larger plane, the company added an intermediate stop in Athens, according to sob.Q. Travel.ru.

Recall that the Boeing 787 is still made on this route only a few flights in the new year date, immediately after the opening of flights to Moscow. Fill it from Moscow on a permanent basis, Ethiopian Airlines are unable and in January put on a line of narrow-body Boeing 737 MAX 8. However, in the spring after the ban of flights of this type, the carrier was forced to change it to the previous generation model - Boeing 737-800, which now serves the route.

However, seven and a half hours in a narrowbody plane is not the most fun, and Ethiopian Airlines has for some time sought solutions to the problem. With December 13, Boeing 787 will return to the Moscow line, but now with a stopover in Athens, and the total travel time increases by two hours. The frequency of flights will remain the same - three times a week.

December 13 from Addis Ababa on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 23.45, landing in Athens from 3.45 to 4.50, arrival to Moscow (Domodedovo airport) at 9.05. Reverse departure on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 19.05, Landing in Athens from 21.20 to 22.20, arrival in Addis Ababa at 5.20. Minimum detectable rate from 34992 rubles round trip. Available are also quite interesting mating rates in different countries of Africa with a stopover in Addis Ababa.

This is at least the ninth version of the flights on this route, open less than a year ago. Recall that in the first period plans the carrier was willing to operate the line 4 times a week on Boeing 787 via Istanbul. Then the company reduced the planned flight frequency to 3 flights per week. Further, instead of a November 15 opening of the line was offset by 5 December. Then I changed the airport of arrival in Moscow (Domodedovo instead of Sheremetyevo), and time of departure and arrival shifted by 1-2 hours. Next step disappeared stopover in Istanbul, and time of arrival and departure in Moscow changed again. Then again it was rescheduled launch date flight - December 17 (from Moscow - 18 December). Finally, the above was followed by two replacement aircraft type.

it is Possible that the Athenian option would be viable all the previous. It should be borne in mind that the tickets between Moscow and Athens, the company can not sell, and therefore, the plane on this segment will be half-empty: even the passengers of economy class will be a good chance to sleep on a few chairs.
