Russia's revenues from LNG exports in the first half increased by half

Company Sakhalin Energy – the operator of the project "Sakhalin-2" and "Yamal LNG" received in January-August 2019 revenues from exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at $5.51 billion, which is 1.5 times more in comparison with the figure for the same period in 2018, follows from statistics of the Federal customs service (FCS).

According to the results of January-August 2018 Sakhalin Energy and Yamal LNG received income from LNG exports in the amount of $3,768 billion.

Sakhalin Energy – the operator of the project "Sakhalin-2", the first Russian project on LNG production. In the framework of the "Sakhalin-2" develops the Piltun-Astokhskoye and Lunskoye fields of the Sakhalin shelf, the recoverable reserves are estimated at 150 million tons of oil and 500 billion cubic meters of gas. The shareholders of the project operator: Gazprom (50%), Royal Dutch Shell (27,5%), Japanese Mitsui (12,5%) and Mitsubishi (10%).

"Yamal LNG" implements the project of construction of plant on production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) with a capacity of 16.5 million tons per year on the resource base of South Tambeyskoye field. The shareholders of "Yamal LNG" are NOVATEK (50.1 per cent), Total (20%), CNPC (20%) and silk road Fund (9,9%).

the Plant "Yamal LNG" December 5, 2017 has started production of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the first processing line with a design capacity of 5.5 million tons of LNG per year. Loading of the first tanker took place on 8 December. The launch of the second phase took place in early August, 2018, the start of the third stage – in mid-November.
