Nearly 2,000 tons of problem plant products tried to import to the Altai

Since August of 2019 – beginning of the seasonal supply of fruit and vegetables inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Altai Krai and the Altai Republic in the border regions on the Russian – Kazakhstan state border of the Russian Federation in the framework of interagency cooperation with the Border management of FSB of Russia in the Altai territory identified 114 cases of violations of the phytosanitary laws and regulations of 1932 more tons of regulated products from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

When conducting quarantine phytosanitary control, found that in 80 cases (1377 t) of quarantine products with high phytosanitary risk (fresh fruits and vegetables, melons, dried fruits) originating from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic Kyrgyzstan and Republic of Uzbekistan imported accompanied by invalid phytosanitary certificates.

Also in 22 cases (400 tons) cargo (bell pepper, onion, tomatoes, cucumbers, grapes, plums, figs, persimmons) originating from the Republic of Kazakhstan, Republic of Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran imported with violation of section 37 of the Unified quarantine phytosanitary requirements to regulated products and quarantine objects of the customs border and customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union, approved by decision of the Council of the Eurasian economic Commission from 30.11.2016 No. 157. Identified the lack of labeling that contains information about the name of the product, the country and the place of its origin, the exporting country and (or) the country of re-exporter.

in addition, in 3 cases (60 t) the labelling on the packaging of the goods did not correspond to the information specified in the phytosanitary certificate.

In 7 cases (51 t) of regulated products (fresh fruits and vegetables, melons and products of processing of grain and industrial crops) originated from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic imported without a phytosanitary certificate confirming the phytosanitary security of the consignment, and in 2 cases (nuts and dried fruit 45 tonnes) with expired phytosanitary certificates.

the Import of quarantine products non-compliant with the phytosanitary legislation, was banned. All shipments returned to the sender. Perpetrators brought to administrative responsibility under article 10.2 of the administrative code.
