We always somewhere in a hurry and often have a snack on the go. A Cup of coffee here, a candy bar there, cereal for Breakfast, cottage cheese for dinner and now the scales show the extra pounds that we never expected. Where did they come from?
All in excess sugar, which is contained in most products. On the one hand, this is a sweet white substance vital for our body but its excess may be detrimental to our health. According to the American heart Association, excess sugar adds to our diet of empty calories, which leads to tooth decay, obesity, diabetes and even stroke.
According to the world health organization, daily intake of sugar for a person with a normal body mass index should be around 25 grams (6 teaspoons) per day. However, its content in our diet often exceeds the norm by 2-3 times.
Most of us are aware lurking "sweet danger" — we put less sugar in tea and coffee, deny ourselves in a jam and the jams for Breakfast. But often we lose sight of many of the products in which the sugar content is not so obvious. Today we will try to understand how much sugar they contain our favourite treats.
