Half a century ago, The Amazing Pudding performed for the first time with the choir and orchestra

Four months before the album Atom Heart Mother title track was included in the program of band performances at the "Festival of Blues and progressive music", held from 27 to 29 June 1970 in Shepton mallet, Somersetshire (210 miles from London). Suite, announced to the public as "The Amazing Pudding", was first performed in a revised version, accompanied by a choir of John Oldis and brass section of Philip Jones. "The amazing pudding" ended the setlist, which included 5 rooms and more: "Green is the Colour", "Careful with That Axe, Eugene"", "A Saucerful of Secrets", "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun" and actually a subject.

Along with Pink Floyd at festival Bath Festival of Blues & Progressive Music’70, participated artists like Donovan, Steppenwolf, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Inventions, Santana, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane, The Byrds and others. Speaking of Pink Floyd in compliance with the schedule was shifted from the evening of 27 June, on the night of 28 June. As told to Nick Mason in the fifth Chapter of his book "Inside Out" at the exit of the stage coincided with the onset of dawn, which provided a "very dramatic background which really intensified the effect of our appearance...".

After the performances at the festival in Shepton mallet Pink Floyd immediately flew to Holland, where on the evening of June 28 concert at the Music pop festival in Kralingen, a suburb of Rotterdam (Kralingen Pop Festival’70). Other compositions were performed and "The Amazing Pudding", but without orchestra and choir. The shooting of this concert was included in the film "Stamping Ground", the anniversary shows which are held in these days in Rotterdam, but the execution of "the Amazing pudding" in this film was not included.
